Our History
Ottaway Communications Inc. was founded in 1982 by Bob Ottaway in Lansing, MI, with the acquisition and development of WMMQ FM radio. Over time, this station became widely successful, pioneering the popular Classic Rock format for radio, which was later replicated across 300 stations. After selling the station in 1992, Bob transitioned into consulting and media buying, establishing Ottaway.net as a premier agency for traditional advertising within the metro Detroit area. Over the past 4 decades, we’ve expanded our services to include an array of mediums, with print, radio, and TV being the most sought-after channels.
Despite being well within the digital age, traditional advertising continues to play an important role in improving brand awareness and customer engagement.
